Sudhir Andrews is best known as the author of Hospitality Textbooks and Training Manuals which have achieved a national and international recognition since 1980s. He is a graduate in English Literature Honours from Stephens College Delhi and an MBA from IIM-Ahmedabad. He did his fellowship with CERT in Dublin Ireland. He headed the Corporate HRD of Oberoi Hotels and created the Oberoi Hotel School (commonly known as OCLD to hoteliers) in 1973 and ran it for several years.

He later joined ITC WelcomGroup rising as Member-Personnel on the Divisional Board and commissioned the ITC WelcomGroup Graduate School of Hotel Administration at Manipal.  He was the Principal of IHM, Pusa for four years and was on the Board of the National Council and member of the National Hotel Classification Committee, before going to Dubai. In Dubai he worked as Group Vice President HR for the Metropolitan Group; the Executive Office of the Sheikh of Dubai; and a British Consultancy Group. He is presently the Dean of Ecole Hoteliere Lavasa affiliated to Ecole hôtelière de Lausanne, Switzerland. He leads the subjects of human resources being close to his heart throughout his career.
