 Two business internships ensure that the students are exposed to the real competition while learning from their personal experiences. Unique to any institute across the globe, students at Ecole Hoteliere Lavasa have access to a wide range of different hospitality formats from budget to deluxe hotels, with best of brands in each category right at their doorstep for their induction and practical training.
Business Internship is an integral part of the four year Hospitality Management curriculum and aims to bridge the gap between academics and industry requirements.
Every student undergoes business internship in semester III and semester VI . In semester III the business internship is at the rank-and-file level and in semester VI it is at the supervisory level.
 During the internship the student experiences and learns the dynamics of hotel operations thereby augmenting the knowledge and skills he/she has acquired in the class. The student interns in all the relevant departments of the hotel that equips him/her apply theory to practice.
The internship provides the groundwork for the final job placement since there is an ongoing appraisal throughout the internship of the students’ performance by the hotel. Most often the hotel offers the student a job position during the internship itself.
These two internships provide the student with 12 credits out of the total 150 credits of the Hospitality Management Programme.
