Lavasa – Free India’s first and largest hill city

 

One of the largest urban development projects in India, Lavasa is a hill city being developed across 12,500 acres of land by Lavasa Corporation Limited. Nestled admist the Sahyadri Mountains, along the banks of Warasgaon Lake, the city is being developed over an area which is one fourth the size of Mumbai. The unique focus and guiding philosophy of Lavasa promise to make it a desired location for everything from business and education to leisure and entertainment. Lavasa has been structured to encourage a dynamic city community, with its Town Halls and cobbled lakeside promenades for shopping, entertainment and eating out. Lavasa is planned for a permanent population of 2 lakh residents and a tourist inflow envisaged at 20 lakh per annum
